Keep the original supplier file. If another program has already removed zeros or changed a product code, ask the supplier for a fresh copy. The tool cannot recover missing digits.
1. Treat SKUs as text
A SKU is a product code. The zeros in 0007 may be part of that code, so check that they still appear in the preview. RowParcel reads CSV values as text and saves XLSX values in text cells to keep those zeros.
2. Check prices before calculations
Some files use 1,234.50 and others use 1.234,50 for the same amount. Choose the matching decimal and thousands separators before applying a price rule.
3. Choose the calculation you mean
A 20% markup on 10 gives 12. A 20% gross margin gives 12.50. Pick the intended rule and check a few results. Enter your own tax, exchange or unit-conversion rate when needed.
4. Use saved Excel results carefully
RowParcel does not calculate Excel formulas. It can use the results saved inside the workbook, but those results may be old. Open the workbook in Excel, let its calculations finish, then save it. You can also copy the results into a new sheet using Paste values and use that copy.
5. Choose your export for its next use
If you plan to open the CSV in Excel or another spreadsheet app, choose Spreadsheet-safe. It adds an apostrophe before text that the app might otherwise run as a formula, such as text starting with =. If your shop needs the exact text, choose Machine import / preserve exact text after reading its warning. Putting a value in quotes does not stop a spreadsheet from treating it as a formula.
6. Check the downloaded copy
Open the prepared file in RowParcel again and check a few rows. Make sure codes such as 0007, long product codes, prices and descriptions still look right. Then try a small import in your shop.
